I have totally fallen in love with beetroots :)

So this week I am going to represent you my very delicious Apple and Beetroot Smoothie. It's loaded with vitamins and some protein from the linseeds. And the best is, that it comes in such a beautiful bright purple.

About one year ago I have started to drink a smoothie every morning. It's a bit complicated with me, I do really love fruits, but I am not going to eat them if they are laying around in my fridge. I do not know why, but already when I was little my mum had to cut me the apples into small pieces, otherwise, I wouldn't have eaten them...:) That's why I decided to drink a smoothie every morning till I got addicted to it. But to be honest, a smoothie addiction isn't the worst, there are far more bad addictions I could have :)

I drink one every morning, which A substitutes my breakfast and B covers one part of my daily portion of vitamins I do need. 

Try it out for one week and you will see how good you feel. No rumbling stomach at 11 AM, more energy, better skin....

Apple and Beetroot Smoothie

Serves 1

Prep Time

Ingredients
  • 100g cooked beetroot
  • 100g apple
  • 50g grapes
  • 150ml water
  • 1 tbsp honey (vegan: 1/2 tbsp agave syrup)
  • 1 tbsp linseeds
  • a handful of ice cubes

Method
  1. Blend everything together in a mixer until smooth and creamy.
  2. Serve your Apple and Beetroot Smoothie with ice cubes.
