The Leftover Smoothie

Sometimes I do look into my fridge and there are a lot of fruit and veggies I have to eat, as they have seen their best days already. Did you experience that too? Instead of racking my brain what to cook with them, I just cut them small and put them all together in my blender. It's the easiest way to get rid of too much fruit and veggies you do not want to throw away. That's why I called it the leftover one :). I listed all the ingredients below, which I found in my fridge, but please do a little experiment and do not just buy what I put in my smoothie, take the things which are left in your fridge and be brave enough to do a little experiment. I mean what's the worst could happen? Being there with your own delicious and healthy leftover smoothie? =)))

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 0.5 nectarine
  • 0.5 apple
  • 0.5 cup strawberry
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 cm sliced ginger
  • 1 tbsp goji berries
  • 1 tbsp linseeds
  • 0.5 cup rice milk
  • 0.5 cup orange juice
  • a handful of ice cubes

Method

Blend everything together in a mixer until smooth and creamy. 

Serve with ice cubes.
